From the introduction several varieties of the Hovaria^® assortment have been awarded, namely:

August 1994:Golden Medal at Plantarium ’94 (Boskoop, Holland)

Best New Plant at Plantarium ’94 (Boskoop, Holland)

February 1995: Certificate of appreciation in gold as multifunctional plant, from the Royal Association for Boskoop Cultures. Since the start of doing these examinations in 1896 (the foundation of this Association was in 1861) they presented Certificates of appreciation in gold only 1 time each 7 years (average).

April 1995: First Prize on Keukenhof (the worldfamous bulbflower exhibition in Lisse, Holland) during the Hydrangea Parade 1995.

June 1995: Most striking novelty during the show of novelties of the Royal Society for Horticulture and Botany in Aalsmeer, Holland.

September 1995: If de Platine, first prize in France, Champtoce sur Loire.

November 1995: Prime of the Year, flower auction Aalsmeer Holland during professionshow, choosen by flower traders, florists and consumers out of 58 ‘Primes’: new introductions in the past one and a half year on the world’s biggest flower auction.

August 1996: Silver Medal at Plantarium ’96 (Boskoop, Holland)

February 1997: Certificate of appreciation in silver as multifunctional plant, from the Royal Association for Boskoop Cultures. This year this was the highest award that was given.

March 1997: Nomination Holland Award 1996, Flower Auction Holland, with honourable mention for the important contribution to the improvement of the assortment.

March 1998: Nomination Holland Award 1997, Flower Auction Holland, with honourable mention for the important contribution to the improvement of the assortment.

March 2000: Holland Award 1999, Flower Auction Holland, together with the white ’Fireworks’-hydrangea an excellent contribution to the improvement of the assortment.

August 1998: Press Award at Plantarium ’98 (Boskoop, Holland) by an international judging-committee existing of 7 press representatives.

March 2000: Holland Award 1999, Flower Auction Holland, together with Hovaria ’Hobergine’ an excellent contribution to the improvement of the assortment.

March 2001: Best Novelty, Flower Auction Holland, during the Holland Trade Fair chosen out of 48 new plants.

August 2002: Gold Medal at Plantarium '04. Of the new garden plants that were introduced on this exhibition, there were only 5 awarded with a Gold Medal, including this new novelty form Hovaria.

The Awards mentioned above are a confirmation of what many enthusiastic lovers of Hydrangeas already have discovered: the Hydrangea varieties of the Hovaria^® assortment are one by one something special on your windowsill as well as in your garden, on your balcony and terrace.
