Hovaria® 'Fireworks White'
One of the most spectacular plants in your garden.

Hovaria 'Fireworks'

Due to the shape of its flowers, the Fireworks Hydrangea has to be considered a lacecap. With its double star-shaped florets it is an exceptional plant, suited for inside use, garden and terrace.

Both indoors and outdoors this Hydrangea, with its special characteristics and inflorescences, is very ornamental. It sets buds easily and therefore flowers over a long time. Even into late autumn new flowers can be opening while the older ones are becoming green.

It owes its name ’Fireworks’ to the appearance of the flowerhead. Double star-shaped florets ring the outer edge of each white head like little exploding rockets. The heart of each flowerhead will be tinted pink or blue according to the acidity (pH) of the soil, which makes it easy to coordinate ’Fireworks’ with the Hovaria® Hobella and the Hovaria® Homigo in the garden.

In August 1998 an international jury consisting of representatives of the professional press from 7 countries awarded ’Fireworks’ Hydrangea a prize at “Plantarium 98”, the exhibition for the arboriculture industry in Boskoop. In March 2000, together with Hovaria® ‘Hobergine’, it received the 1999 Holland Award.

The care of this exceptional Hydrangea is comparable with that of other Hydrangea macrophylla varieties. It can bear a little more of sun, but during the flowering it likes some shade during the hottest hours of the day.
